Position: Senior Support Worker
We are excited to share an opportunity for a Senior Residential Support Worker role with our client, a leading provider of care and education for children and young people. This role offers an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people who need support, while working within a dedicated and friendly team. The young people in their care, aged 8-18, have a range of behavioral and emotional needs, and they are looking for passionate individuals to join their team across the South West region.
Key Benefits:
Pay: £13.40 – £14.22 per hour (based on experience/qualifications)

Management Development Programme to progress from Support Worker to Registered Manager and beyond
Shift Pattern: 16 to 24-hour shifts (including sleep-ins), on a one-on-two-off or two-on-four-off basis
Key Responsibilities:
Lead shifts and act as deputy to the Registered Manager when required
Ensure Residential Care Workers are up to date with mandatory training and assist in their professional development
Raise awareness and communicate with the team about individual care plans and ensure their implementation
Maintain accurate written records and logs for monitoring and evaluation purposes
Contribute to team meetings to enhance communication and staff development
Provide care and support for young people, helping them achieve their full potential
Encourage young people in their education, whether re-entering or engaging with their current schooling
Travel with young people to and from school or college
Prepare meals and help maintain a clean, welcoming home environment
Organize and facilitate social activities for young people

What We’re Looking For:
A full UK driving licence
Passion and dedication to working with young people
A commitment to achieving a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification
12 months of senior experience in a residential setting is desirable, but applications from those starting their career are encouraged
DBS and reference checks will be completed in line with government regulations and safer recruitment practices
