Position: Senior Support Worker
We are thrilled to present an exciting opportunity on behalf of our client, a leading provider of care and education for children and young people. Their dedicated and supportive team is focused on achieving the best outcomes for the young people they care for. They are currently looking for passionate, enthusiastic, and flexible individuals to join their team in the South West region.
As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the young people’s development, ensuring they receive the care, encouragement, and attention they need to thrive. Your involvement in their day-to-day lives will have a lasting and positive impact on their futures.
Key Benefits:
Pay: £13.40 – £14.22 per hour (based on experience/qualifications)

Management Development Programme to progress from Support Worker to Registered Manager and beyond
Shift Pattern: 16 to 24-hour shifts (including sleep-ins), on a one-on-two-off or two-on-four-off basis
Key Responsibilities:
Lead shifts and act as deputy to the Registered Manager as required
Ensure that the Residential Care Workers are up to date with all mandatory training and assist in their professional development
Collaborate with the on-site team to raise awareness of individual care plans and ensure they are properly implemented
Maintain accurate written records to monitor and evaluate the care provided
Contribute to team meetings, promoting communication and staff development
Provide support and care to the young people within the service, encouraging their growth and progress
Assist with young people’s education, including traveling to and from school or college
Prepare meals and help maintain a clean and welcoming home environment
Organize and facilitate social activities for the young people
No two days are the same in this role, and while it’s challenging, it is also incredibly rewarding. You will have the chance to make a real difference in the lives of young people, helping them overcome obstacles and work towards their full potential.
What We’re Looking For:
A full UK driving licence
A passion for working with young people and a commitment to earning a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification
12 months of senior experience in a residential setting is highly desirable, but applications from those at the start of their career are also welcome
DBS and reference checks will be completed in line with government regulations and safer recruitment practices
